Oha soup (Ofe Ọha) is a delicious traditional Nigerian soup that uses cocoyam paste as a thickener and the distinct, slightly bitter Oha leaves. 
Ingredients
  • Protein: Assorted meats (beef, goat meat, shaki/cow tripe), stockfish, and dry fish.
  • Vegetables: Fresh Oha leaves (shredded by hand, not cut with a knife, to prevent discoloration and bitterness), and Uziza leaves (optional).
  • Thickener: Cocoyam (peeled and pounded into a smooth paste) or Achi powder (mixed with water into a paste).
  • Seasoning: Palm oil, ground crayfish, seasoning cubes, Scotch bonnet peppers (minced), Ogiri Igbo (fermented oil bean seed), and salt to taste.
  • Water or meat stock

and do not forget to indicate if you prefer Garri, Fufu or Cocoyam flour
