We’ve received a crucial update here on SaleOutAfrica.com from DHL that may affect your shipments to the USA.
What’s happening?
Due to the new U.S. Customs regulations, all shipments with a declared value over $800 (eight hundred dollars) now require formal customs clearance. This is causing multi-day delays.
What’s changing?
Starting Monday, April 21, 2025, DHL will temporarily stop all shipments to private individuals in the USA if the declared value is over $800. – so you seriously need to take note of this if you’re a private shipper.
- Shipments under $800 are not affected.
- Shipments sent to businesses valued over $800 are still allowed but may face delays.
